Rumors have persisted about a flagship Samsung tablet that’s even bigger than the Galaxy Tab S7 +, and now you might know what it looks like. on leaks and 91Mobiles have shared what they claim to be pictures of the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Slate would minimize the impact of its massive 14.6-inch display by cramming the front-facing camera system into a notch – potentially inconvenient, but better than a conventional design that could be even larger.
The design wouldn’t be so unusual on the other side. The leak suggests that the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra would have dual rear cameras and the familiar magnetic stripe to hold your S Pen. The source claimed the images were “not 100% complete,” so the design may change slightly regardless of how accurate it is at the time of writing.
Classic Tab S8 and S8 + models should not use the notch. Rather, they could be subtle evolutions of existing designs, which slide the front camera into the bezel.
It’s unclear exactly when the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will arrive. 91Mobiles speculates that Samsung could launch the design in November or December, but it would be strange to wait until the very end of the year to release a major tablet, even if chip shortages weren’t a factor. It might be easier for Samsung to wait until early 2022, when it can launch the Tab S8 series alongside the Galaxy S22.
